Collegiate Challenge 2013
Collegiate Challenge is a program through Habitat International that allows college students from all over to travel somewhere new on their Spring Break and give of their time to other communities!
We are so grateful this year to host 6 schools to assist Habitat for Humanity of Baldwin County to get our new ReStore building underway.
The schools joining us this year are:
Georgetown University
Case Western Reserve University
Florida State University
Plymouth State University
University of Wisconsin, Fond du Lac
University of Missouri
Typically, volunteering with Habitat, consists of building. In their case, however, they have been given the task of tearing down!!! The site of our new ReStore has several structures and metal buildings that need to be taken apart. Our teams have been awesome and have expressed that seeing the difference they’ve made in only four days has been rewarding!
Habitat for Humanity of Baldwin County would like to thank all of these schools for giving up their time to volunteer in a community other than their own, what a difference they are making!!!
